Newark Town Football Club announce pre-season friendlies for July against Nettleham FC, Leicester Nirvana, Sleaford Town, AFC Mansfield, Asfordby FC and Lincoln United FC

After a successful season, Newark Town will be hoping to keep up with a series of exciting pre-season games this summer.

The club has been hard at work behind the scenes, organizing six pre-season men’s first team friendlies to entertain fans during the break.

Throughout July, the Blues will play four home games at the YMCA Community and Activity Village in Newark against Nettleham FC (3 July, kick-off 7.45pm), Leicester Nirvana (6 July 15), Sleaford Town (10 July 19 :45). ), and AFC Mansfield (July 19, 7.45pm).

There will also be two away games at Asfordby FC (July 13, 3pm) and Lincoln United FC (July 17, 7.45pm).

It follows the team’s second season in the United Counties League Division 1, which saw the club go one better than last year, reaching the play-off final after finishing third in the league.

But for the second year in a row, it was not to be for the Blues, who lost their play-off game against Harrowby United by two goals to one.

However, the team was encouraged by the support they received from a crowd of almost 1,000 spectators who attended the YMCA, with the hope that this support will continue next season.

Season tickets are also now on sale, which will entitle holders to free entry to all four pre-season home games.
