Tools worth £50,000 stolen in Wembley recovered by police

Brent Police have successfully recovered over £50,000 worth of tools stolen from a van in Wembley.

The recovery followed a raid on a property in Hackney which led to the arrest of two men suspected of handling stolen goods.

A spokesperson for Brent Police shared the news via social media on June 6, highlighting the impact of tool theft on victims.

They posted on June 6: “Yesterday officers investigating the theft of tools from a van in Wembley searched a property in Hackney. They recovered over £50,000 worth of tools and arrested two men suspected of handling stolen goods.”

They added: “We are determined to make a dent in this type of crime. Reports will be taken seriously and realistic lines of inquiry will be pursued as they were in this case.”

They also urged victims of the tool theft to come forward if they recognize any of the items recovered from the photos provided.

Victims are encouraged to call 101 and quote reference 2659/05JUN to help the investigation team return the stolen tools to their rightful owners.
