The latest Manchester United transfer rumours

The summer transfer window started on June 14 and will pick up the pace after EURO 2024 ends, but many players have been linked with Manchester United. It follows the club’s decision to cash in on a number of players, including Jadon Sancho and Mason Greenwood, to flex some muscle in the transfer window, taking into account FFP regulations which have restricted business for Manchester United. The new ownership under INEOS has already begun an overhaul of the club with key personnel changes in senior management and has envisioned new management and promised to put football and fans first.

Manchester United look set to sell Mason Greenwood, who is expected to make a £40m move to Serie A giants Juventus. However, in recent times, Valencia have also stepped in to secure the signature of the highly talented United striker, according to a report from The Mirror. Jadon Sancho is also set to leave the club after an unimpressive £75million move from Dortmund. The England winger has fallen out with the manager and refused to apologize to the manager over a social media spat that ended with a loan spell in exile at Borussia Dortmund. Dortmund look the most realistic option for him as United look to take Sancho off their wages and get some return on their investment.

According to a BBC report, Manchester United are also interested in Dutch defender De Ligt. The Dutch international previously worked with Erik ten Hag at Ajax and enjoys a good relationship with him. The defender is valued at £42m by Bayern Munich and is open to negotiating a deal with Manchester United. This development comes after Everton rejected United’s £35m bid for Jarrad Branthwaite. The club do not want to meet the valuation seen by Everton and will look at other targets if they cannot come to terms with the transfer fee for the highly-rated English defender.

Manchester United have also been linked with a move for Crystal Palace winger Michael Olise, who also has a £60million release clause, but at the moment Chelsea appear to be leading the race for the France international’s signature . Lille’s Leny Yoro has also been linked with Manchester United, but nothing concrete has come of that.

Manchester United are looking to strengthen their squad after making the decision to keep manager Erik ten Hag. INEOS management have vowed to put Manchester United back on top and are willing to spend the money to do so. Manchester United are a top club and must challenge at the highest level of English football. Fingers crossed for another interesting transfer window to follow.
