Harry Potter star Warwick Davis is ‘really enjoying’ Cornwall

Harry Potter and Star Wars star Warwick Davis was spotted in Perranporth – stopping for a chat and a few selfies while ordering an ice cream in the seaside town.

It’s the second time in just a few weeks that the 54-year-old actor has paid a visit to the Pavilion Ice Cornish, just meters from the seafront.

And he seemed more than happy to stop and chat to customers and staff alike, as well as pose for selfies – even as his ice cream started to melt in his hands.

Matt Burrell, who owns the ice cream, said: “He seems like a really nice man. He stopped for everyone and seemed happy to chat, even though the ice creams were melting and dripping in his hands.

“He was actually a couple of weeks ago when he was in the area and he ordered a white chocolate cherry ice cream and I spoke to him then – he said he’d just been in for a pint and a steak and he he was very fond of Perranporth.

“Then when he came in today I said hi to him and he said ‘Hi Matt’ which was pretty cool. He bought himself a mint chocolate chip ice cream today.

“I felt quite bad for him because it was a very busy day with beautiful sunny weather and it was Father’s Day. He was just trying to get some ice cream and everyone recognized him and tried to stop him. to say hello – but he didn’t seem to mind.

“A few of the girls working here today recognized him from Harry Potter so they were a bit taken aback and managed to get a picture with him.

“He said he really likes Cornwall and the area. It’s great that he’s back in Perranporth and my headquarters here.”
