Leny Yoro transfer bid ‘rejected’ as Liverpool ‘interested’ in Juventus striker

Liverpool could be set for some big changes this summer as a new era begins under Arne Slot.

The 2024/25 season will be Liverpool’s first campaign under a new manager in nearly a decade, with popular German head coach Jurgen Klopp stepping down. And former Feyenoord boss Slot faces the unenviable task of replacing Klopp at Anfield as he tries to mold the club in his own image.

One way Liverpool may look different going forward is with the profile of the players they sign in the summer transfer window. The Reds are yet to complete a deal but have been linked with several players across Europe.

And Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo have claimed that Lille have rejected a €50m (around £42m) bid from Liverpool for Leny Yoro. The offer is said to be close to the €60m figure Lile is seeking, but the Ligue 1 club are in no mood to lower their demands.

As reported by the ECHO on Friday, Real Madrid are seen as favorites to secure Yoro’s signature. Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain are also said to be interested in a player who many believe will leave Lille this summer.

Elsewhere, Italian newspaper La Gazzetta claim the Reds are working on a deal to sign Juventus forward Kenan Yildiz. The Turkish striker has scored four goals in 10 appearances for the Serie A club, whose contract is set to expire in 2027.
