One person is trapped in a vehicle after a three-car crash on a busy road in Bradford

Emergency services were rushed to the scene of a major crash in Bradford last night.

Fire, police and ambulance services were called to Canal Road at 7.26pm on Sunday after three cars were involved in a collision.

It happened near the road’s intersection with Stanley Road and the Costa drive-thru in the complex there.

One person was stuck in a car and the firemen freed them.

A West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “An extrication was carried out by fire service personnel and a victim was left in the hands of paramedics.”

A West Yorkshire Police spokesman added: “We were called at 7.27pm yesterday to reports of a road traffic collision between three vehicles. No one needed hospital treatment.”

Images seen by the Telegraph & Argus showed pieces of the car strewn across the road.

Police closed Canal Road in the area while the crash was dealt with.

Bradford and Fairweather Green fire stations attended the scene.
