The highlight of Waverley’s visit will be meeting the last remaining steam-powered steamboat, Kingswear Castle, on the River Dart on the afternoon of Saturday 31st August. Advance booking is recommended for the Waverley Date with Kingswear Castle.

Kingswear Castle will offer a special sailing to meet the Waverley at the river entrance, allowing passengers on both steamships the opportunity to witness the historic moment. The Waverley will also offer a special launch cruise, returning to Dartmouth to view the Dartmouth Royal Regatta fireworks.

Passengers for Waverley can take the Dartmouth Steam Railway from Paignton to connect with Waverley’s evening cruise from Dartmouth on 31 August or sailing on 1 September, where a special train will operate for Waverley passengers.

Following her visit to Dartmouth, Waverley will head east to Swanage and begin her South Coast season, operating from 2nd to 25th September. This year Waverley will make her first visit to Eastbourne in over two decades when she offers two cruises from the Sussex city.
