Smethwick Police incident live as forensic officers investigate Rolfe Street

Police sealed off a street outside a restaurant and bar in Smethwick. Coroners were seen canvassing the scene on Rolfe Street today (June 17).

A cord is installed around the edge ‘Avenue Bar Restaurant & Grill’. Our video shows a heavy police presence in a cut outside the venue.

Officers were seen gathering evidence. The exact nature of this incident is currently unclear.

Bus services 54 and 54A have been diverted. National Express wrote on social media platform X: “Service disruption due to incident on Rolfe Street.

“The 54 and 54A will use Soho Way. We apologize for any disruption to your journey.”
