Arsenal, Manchester City, Manchester United express interest in Xavi Simons

Arsenal, Manchester City and Manchester United are interested in signing Dutch international striker Xavi Simons.

Xavi Simons had an impressive 2023/24 campaign with RB Leipzig and caught the eye of the European heavyweights. A report from L’Equipe claimed that Arsenal, Manchester City and Manchester United have expressed an interest in signing the 21-year-old.

Meanwhile, a report from Mundo Deportivo added that Barcelona are also keen on the Dutchman. It will be interesting to see where Simons ends up this summer. The youngster scored 10 goals and grabbed 15 assists in all competitions last term and was a key player for RB Leipzig. He undoubtedly has the quality to improve all four clubs in attack.

Simons would be a quality addition

Arsenal need to sign a quality striker who can operate both out wide and centrally. They failed to replace key players due to the lack of depth in the squad. The 21-year-old’s arrival could prove to be a major boost for them. The opportunity to play for Arsenal could be an attractive one for the player as well.

Meanwhile, Manchester City are looking to add even more depth to their attack. Jack Grealish was quite disappointing and Bernardo Silva was linked with an exit. Pep Guardiola needs more quality in attack and the versatile Dutch international would be the ideal signing.

Manchester City have a proven track record of winning major trophies and will be an attractive destination for the player. As for Manchester United, the Red Devils will need to bring in upgrades for the likes of Antony and Jadon Sancho this summer.

The 21-year-old striker could prove to be the ideal option for them. Whether his parent club Paris Saint-Germain are willing to sell him remains to be seen. They may look to keep hold of him especially after the departure of Kylian Mbappe.

Finally, Barcelona are looking to add even more quality to their attacking unit and the 21-year-old, who is keen on a move, certainly fits the profile. It will be interesting to see if Barcelona can compete financially with Premier League clubs and sign the Netherlands international this summer.
