Four wanted over ATM attack that left victim in hospital

A man had to be taken to hospital to be treated for an eye injury after he was attacked at a cash machine in South Bristol.

The man, aged 40, was at the cash machine at the Post Office in East Street, Bedminster, when he was assaulted. Police have now launched an appeal for help to catch those responsible and have released CCTV images taken from the area of ​​four youths – some as young as 14 – who officers want to speak to in connection with the attack.




Police said the four are all white and are believed to be between 14 and 21 years old. The attack took place in the early hours of January 29, between 1:30 a.m. and 2:30 a.m.

The first young man wanted by police has medium-length dark hair and is pictured wearing blue jeans, a black hoodie and black shoes. The second also has medium length hair and is shown wearing blue jeans, a white and cream/beige zip-up jacket and white trainers. The third has short dark hair and wears blue jeans, a blue top and white sneakers. The fourth also has short dark hair and is shown wearing a light colored hoodie and a black coat.

“Officers are investigating this attack on a man in his 40s,” said a spokesman for Avon and Somerset Police. “The man required hospital treatment for eye injuries. He is now at home recovering. If you recognize any of the four people pictured please call 101 quoting reference 5224026647,” he added.
