Jet2 is telling passengers not to go to the airport as flights to the Greek island are cancelled

Jet2 has told travelers not to go to the airport if they are going to a Greek island that has been hit by bad weather. The airline said it was sorry but all flights are canceled today (Friday 10 May) and will be rescheduled.

Jet2 flies to Skiathos from Bristol, Birmingham, East Midlands, Leeds Bradford, London Stansted, Newcastle and Manchester airports.




Jet2 said: “If you are traveling to Skiathos today, please do not travel to the airport. If you have already traveled to the airport, if possible, we advise you to return home and return to the airport 3 hours before your new departure time tomorrow.

“If it is not possible to make your way home, please speak to a member of our friendly Red team at the airport who will be happy to help.” Jet2 said it was also contacting passengers on Skiathos who were due to return home today.

The airline added: “We apologize for this change which is unfortunately out of our control, if you are traveling to Skiathos today we have sent full details of the change and your options to your booking email address.

“It’s rare for our schedules to be disrupted like this, and while this change is out of our control, we understand that it will disrupt your plans at the last minute and we’ve done everything we can to make sure we’re up and running as soon as possible and to minimize delay. .

“We have a huge team hard at work behind the scenes at our UK HQ monitoring the situation and on behalf of all of us we apologize again for the inconvenience this delay is causing.”
