Barnet drivers will have four road closures to avoid nearby on the national motorway network this week.

And all are expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest list of expected works, with notes from National Highways, shows that a closure already in place is expected to continue this week:

M1from 28 May to 5.30am to 30 June, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M1 southbound, junction 5 to junction 1, Lane and carriageway closures for surface works, diversion on local authority roads.

And three more closures will begin in the next two weeks:

M1from 10:00pm until 19 June, 5:30am Moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M1 northbound, Junction 2 to London Gateway Services junction, Lane and ramp road closures for drainage works, diversion on national highway roads.

A1from 18 June to 19 June 22:00, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A1(M) northbound, junction 1 to junction 3, ramp and carriageway closure for urgent carriageway repairs, diversion via local authorities.

A1from June 19 to June 20 at 8pm, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A1 northbound, Stirling junction corner to Borehamwood junction, road closure for urgent loop repairs, diversion via local authorities.

National Highways is responsible for the maintenance of motorways and major A roads, so smaller road closures will not be included in their programme.
