Lambeth Country Show: Injured girl’s mother wants ‘justice’

A spokesman for Lambeth Council said: “We are deeply saddened by the incident at Lambeth Country Show, it is truly shocking and our thoughts are with those who have been injured and their families.

“We take health and safety incredibly seriously and all relevant safety certifications were provided prior to the event.”

The council said it was committed to “playing its full part” in the inquiry and ensuring the families “get the answers they deserve”.

A Met Police spokesman said officers attended the scene alongside the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and that inquiries were continuing “to establish the full circumstances”.

The HSE has been contacted for comment.
