Taylor Swift brought her Eras tour to Anfield for three sold out shows last week and the whole city embraced her visit.

Liverpool has become ‘Taylor Town’ with a Taylor Swift-inspired art installation trail through the city center and banners hanging from St George’s Hall celebrating her visit to Merseyside.

Thousands of Swifties descended on Merseyside for Taylor’s shows, including many who weren’t lucky enough to have tickets but decided to listen to the superstar in Stanley Park.

Many big acts have played at Anfield over the years, including The Eagles, The Rolling Stones and Elton John, but Liverpool has often lost out to other cities that can offer bigger venues when it comes to artists announcing dates. tournament.

Regeneration reporter Dan Haygarth said: “Taylor Swift’s concerts at Anfield showed Liverpool at its best, but the city needs to be able to host events of this magnitude all year round.”
