When are West Bromwich Albion 2024/2025 Championship fixtures released

Preparations for the 2024/25 season at West Bromwich Albion are underway as Carlos Corberan looks to make a fresh push for promotion to the Premier League.

But it will be a different challenge for Albion this time around, the first club in the Championship without parachute payments for nearly 20 years, meaning wages will have to be cut significantly.

And the season is guaranteed to be very different in many ways. There will be at least 24 West Brom League games televised live thanks to a new deal with Sky Sports. Only the opening weekend games will be allowed to be broadcast on Saturday afternoons, so at least 23 West Brom games are not on Saturday afternoons. There will be games on Friday and Saturday evenings and Sunday lunchtimes, as well as selections on Thursday and Monday evenings.

The campaign will run on the weekend of August 10th until May 3rd. There will be 46 rounds of league matches played across 33 weekends, nine midweek and four bank holidays in the Championship. Leagues One and Two will play 36 weekends and six midweek games. The League Cup and Football League Trophy will continue with the same formats as last season. The Carabao Cup will be launched in mid-August. Meanwhile, the play-off final will take place on the 2025 May bank holiday weekend.

The new fixture list will be announced on Wednesday 26 June at 9am. It will be published live on BirminghamLive.

TV selections for all matches to be played before the end of September will be confirmed by 1 July, within seven days of the fixtures being announced.
