One person has died in a two-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle

One person died Saturday following a two-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle in Springwater Township.

According to Huronia West OPP, emergency crews responded to a serious collision involving a passenger vehicle and a motorcycle on George Johnston Road/County Road 28 near Sunnidale Road around 5:45 pm on June 15th.

Police say the 31-year-old motorcycle passenger was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics who responded.

The 41-year-old driver of the motorcycle was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries and later flown by air ambulance to a trauma center in Toronto.

The 71-year-old driver of the car was treated for minor injuries, police said.

George Johnston Road/County Road 28 was closed for several hours while a collision reconstruction team measured and documented the scene.

The investigation is ongoing.
