Major road closures for Sandwell, Walsall and Dudley: seven to avoid in the next two weeks

And it’s expected to cause major delays – with drivers facing delays of at least half an hour on some routes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows the seven road closures with works expected to continue this week:

Sandwell

• M5, from 22:00 on 22 January 2024 to 05:00 on 7 January 2025, severe delays (more than 30 minutes): M6 northbound and southbound, junction 7 to junction 10, closure of the roadway and slip roads for the redevelopment of the roadway, diversion route through the national and local highways, the network of authorities.
