Sheffield United target Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is expected to leave Besiktas to return to England this summer, TRT Spor have claimed.

Sheffield United are heading back to the Championship at the first time of asking after a disastrous season in the Premier League.

The Blades will be looking to leave the 2023/24 campaign in the past as Chris Wilder refreshes the ranks at Bramall Lane. Promotion will be the aim, but a big summer awaits for the Steel City outfit.

New signings are already on the radar and one man who has been linked with a move to the club is former Arsenal and Liverpool midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. Reports in Turkey have credited the Blades with an interest.

Now, new claims have emerged regarding his situation at Besiktas.

Turkish network TRT Spor say there is a “high probability” Oxlade-Chamberlain could return to England with a move away from the Super Lig giants expected after just one year at the club.

Interest from Sheffield United and Southampton is mentioned once again in this new report, although it has been said elsewhere that Saints will not sign the midfielder this summer.
