Angela Rayner’s four-word warning to nuisance cyclists in Nuneaton

Angela Rayner has issued a four-word warning to nuisance bikers in Nuneaton – “They’ll be crushed”. The Labor deputy leader arrived in the city in the famous red battle bus today, June 18.

In recent months, the city center and wider communities have suffered from unsightly cyclists, many of them wearing balaclava, tearing up and down the streets. Speaking to CoventryLive, the deputy leader said the party has a plan to deal with the issue.

“If you go around Nuneaton on one of these bikes, which we’ve all seen, within 48 hours that bike will be smashed,” she said. “We have 13,000 extra police and PCSOs on the streets, if those bikes are caught they will grab them and smash them.

“Without ifs or buts, we don’t have anymore.” She said she had a local problem outside her own home when an unruly rider hit a fence and the bike landed on his head, leaving him seriously injured.

Mrs Rayner said: “His life has now completely changed, we don’t want our young people to do that. Those bikes must be off the streets, and under Muncă they will be”. The issues of anti-social behavior have been echoed by Jodie Gosling, the Labor candidate for Nuneaton in the general election.
