“It’s a celebration of black joy, of council estates and corner shops. Of working-class living and working-class dreams. It’s humane and tender, with a strong heart,” adds the synopsis.

The show, which is filming now, comes from Ackley Bridge producers The Forge Entertainment and will feature newcomers Chenée Taylor, Kaydrah Walker-Wilkie and Akins Subair as the three siblings Tiana, Tanika and Tionne.

We Go Again will also star Jamelia from Hollyoaks and Jennifer Metcalfe respectively as ‘Fake Jackie’, a version of their missing mother, and Candy – the new partner of their estranged father Leo (played by Lockwood and Co’s Ivanno Jeremiah) .

“As soon as I saw Chenée I knew she was my Tiana, a beautiful young adult with an inner strength that shines. Kaydrah and Akins are also phenomenal – so natural and funny. I feel lucky to have found them.
