A 90-year-old man has died after a crash in Antigonish County

A 90-year-old man from Heatherton, NS, was pronounced dead at the scene after a head-on collision in Antigonish County on Monday.

RCMP said in a news release that a Nissan Murano SUV was driving east on Highway 4 in James River when it crossed the center line.

The SUV collided head-on with a westbound tractor-trailer after negotiating a curve. Police say the 50-year-old Westville man driving the semi was not physically injured.

RCMP are continuing to investigate the collision.
