Shoppers at Sainsbury’s and Morrisons said to “throw away” the product

Shoppers are being urged to check their cupboards, fridges and freezers after food products were recalled from various supermarkets.

The Food Standards Agency (FSA) issues recalls for a number of reasons, including when products contain allergens not disclosed on the packaging or if plastic is detected in the item.

When a product is recalled for any reason, the FSA shares details of what you should do if you bought the item, as well as detailed information about why the item has been withdrawn from sale.

Waitrose

Waitrose is recalling salted milk butter as it may contain bits of blue cloth. The possible presence of blue cloth makes the product unsafe for consumption.

Point of sale ads will be displayed in all retail stores that sell this product. These notices explain to customers why the product is being recalled and tell them what to do if they purchased the product.

If you have bought the above product, do not eat it. Instead, return the product to your local Waitrose branch for a refund. Any customer with questions or concerns can contact the Waitrose support team for further guidance on 0800 188 884 Option 4.

Sainsbury’s and Morrisons

Itsu (grocery) recalls frozen itsu pork gyoza because it may contain small pieces of plastic. The possible presence of plastic makes this product unsafe for consumption.
