Newcastle United aim to destroy Leeds United and Brighton v The Athletic transfer talks

Newcastle United are joining the pursuit of Crysencio Summerville

Athletic’s Chris Waugh has shared an update on the Dutch winger, revealing that Newcastle United are in the running for the Dutchman.

Newcastle missed out on Europe last season after qualifying for the Champions League in 2023, and Eddie Howe will be hoping he can restore the club’s top four position.

They are expected to target a new player this summer and the report reveals that a large part of their budget is going towards these targets, one being Summerville:

“Olise’s move underlines Newcastle’s desire to strengthen their right wing, with a large portion of their budget expected to be spent on that position. Chelsea’s Noni Madueke, West Ham United’s Jarrod Bowen and Leeds United’s Crysencio Summerville are among other options mooted.

“While Newcastle are working on additional income, much of their focus is on potential exits given their need to raise funds before June 30 due to a PSR shortfall.”
