The immersive Van Gogh experience is heading to nearby Coventry this summer

One of Vincent Van Gogh’s biggest ever shows is heading to a venue near Coventry this summer. Beyond Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience will take place at the Birmingham NEC from Thursday 1 August to Sunday 1 September.

The experience will include more than 300 paintings that will move across the walls and floor, using cutting-edge technology to celebrate the life and art of the iconic painter. He will transform his paintings into immersive 3D scenes with color and sound to heighten all the senses.

BirminghamLive reported that the experience will be the largest Van Gogh show ever staged. Producers Annerin Productions and Paquin Entertainment Group promise to take visitors on a journey “from darkness to light, enhanced by your own dreams, thoughts and words.”

The captivating artwork is set to a soundtrack specially designed to appeal to a new generation of art enthusiasts and Van Gogh fans. Upon arrival in the Introduction Hall, visitors can connect with the iconic artist through the personal letters he wrote to his brother Theo. Everyone then moves into the heart of the exhibition, The Immersive Room, where his paintings are “released from their frames to dominate the space and fully immerse the audience.”
