Frank Amell – Cornwall Seaway News

July 30, 1935 – June 15, 2024

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Frank Amell on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at Southbridge Long Term Care at the age of 88.

Beloved husband of Kay Amell (nee Kyer) for 70 years. Dear father of David (Sharon), Richard “Dick” (Linda), Tammy Robillard (Mike), Mark (Kim), Una Mae MacKinnon (Garry), Judy Ann Cooper (Mark). Loving grandfather of Beckie, Jessie, Courtney, Ryan, Angie, Erin, Bill, Frank, Teri Lynn, Brad, Brooke, Krista, Amy, Jeff, Jamie, Corey, Chris, Katie and Hannah and is also remembered with dear to him 36 great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his sister Bernadine Kavanagh (late Jack). He was predeceased by his parents Levi and Ethel Amell (nee Dow) and brothers Earl, Albert, Lyle, Hugh, Wilfred (Paulette) and sisters, Ursula, Rita and Angela. Special thanks to Southbridge for the excellent care.

Frank is resting at Wilson Funeral Home, 822 Pitt Street (613-938-3888) where his family will receive friends on Friday, June 28, 2024 from 2-6 and 6-8 p.m. and Saturday, June 29, 2024, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at 11:30 a.m. at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church, St. Andrew’s West. Rite of Committal will follow in the church cemetery.
