A luxury steam train journey can be an incredibly special day for couples, friends and families. A day that includes a celebratory lunch for those marking a special occasion on a classic vehicle, what more could you ask for?

This May Bank Holiday weekend, on Sunday 26th May, passengers will have the chance to treat themselves to a Sunday lunch like no other in Stratford-upon-Avon. Travelers can enjoy the luxury of the Pullman carriage seat in a stunning setting while being served.

The vintage trains will run outward through Dorridge and pass through Solihull, while staff attend with a drinks service and the first course starting at around 1pm. The main course will be served as the train approaches Birmingham Snow Hill where you can relax and enjoy the surroundings and also see the locomotive.

The return journey will take the Shakespeare line through Henley-in-Arden, with rolling fields, lakes, rivers and even a canal aqueduct visible from your window. Desserts will be served near the end of the journey, returning to Stratford-upon-Avon around 3pm. Travelers can then enjoy a Sunday stroll through William Shakespeare’s birthplace.

The trip includes a steam journey from Stratford-upon-Avon of approximately two hours, as well as a three-course Sunday lunch. Drinks are available for purchase from the waiters on the day.

In the Pullman carriage, passengers are seated around tables of two or four and is the most luxurious and glamorous of all seating options, with comfortable seating, service, space and views. There is a supplement per person for meals of two and prices depend on the train service.

Tickets are now available from £90 on the Vintage Trains website.
