Brazen lands Manchester Airport Group held up short

The sky’s the limit as Brazen celebrates its partnership with Manchester Airport Group (MAG), the UK’s largest airport group, following a competitive pitch process.

In the role, Brazen will support the MAG Marketing team on projects to add real value in communicating the best customer service and operational excellence – including showcasing Manchester Airport as the UK’s global gateway to the north, Stansted Airport as the country’s leader for destinations in Europe and East Midlands Airport as the UK’s largest cargo operation as well as a popular passenger airport.

The team will help MAG celebrate the £1.3 billion transformation program at Manchester Airport and its centrepiece, the newly expanded Terminal 2. Manchester Airport’s transformation project is on track for completion in 2025 and Brazen Boutique, the agency’s specialist hospitality division, will support the new F&B. offering that pays homage to Mancunian brands including Archies, San Carlo and Pot Kettle Black (with many more to come) plus aviation project support for exciting new routes.

Charlotte Shi, Head of Marketing for Manchester Airport, said: “Here at Manchester Airport, we are proud to serve the people of the North, connecting them to over 200 destinations around the world – a route network unmatched by any airport outside London.

“Our £1.3bn investment transforms the airport into one that would be at home in any major capital city and will really enable people to start their holidays at the airport.

“So this is an incredibly exciting time for Manchester Airport and we are delighted to welcome Brazen Boutique to our team. We were looking for a partner who understands how to deliver commercially successful PR activities that link to commercial results.

“It’s not just about Manchester. MAG is the largest airport group in the country and we have lots of development plans at both Stansted and the East Midlands which we look forward to working with Brazen on.”

Brazen’s win coincides with the appointment of Deepa Parekh as team leader for the Brazen Boutique division. Deepa has a 20-year track record in the sports, media and hospitality industries and a history of launching several successful venues.

Brazen Boutique was launched in 2022 to meet the needs of northern hospitality, travel and retail brands and operates as a specialist division within the 50-strong agency. Clients include Great Northern Warehouse, The Lowry Hotel, El Gato Group, Black Cat, Maya Manchester, Sexy Fish Manchester, Hyatt Manchester.
