Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450, a rendering arrives – News – Moto.it

The introduction of the second iteration of the platform already seen with the Himalayan 450 and the 40bhp Sherpa engine seems very close

June 19, 2024

The arrival of the Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 looks ever closer: no confirmation from the Indian company, but the numerous prototypes spotted both in India and – presumably – in Spain, where Royal Enfields are partially developed, tell us that the bike is now in an almost final stage of its development and relatively ready to be shown. Moreover, the Chennai-based company very often uses the summer period to officially unveil its novelties, and therefore in the abstract we could have some news even by the end of August.

The climate of anticipation is therefore quite significant and in India, where the anticipation is even more felt, some renderings of Rushlane have been released. Will it be so? Possible, but not certain: in any case the platform now seems defined and is that of the Himalayan 450, with the new liquid-cooled Sherpa engine producing 40 horsepower at 8,000 rpm, with a maximum torque of 40 Nm at 5,500 rpm, six – gearbox and two engine maps. The chassis would remain focused on the steel frame but we find, at least in the prototypes, a conventional fork and the diameter of the wheels should be 17 inches. The rear monoshock has been confirmed, while the riding position and general setup of the bike would be that of a roadster.
