Brent crude is trading at $84.05/bbl

Crude oil prices rose by Rs 17 to Rs 6,687 per barrel in futures trade on Tuesday as participants widened their positions on firm sight demand. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude for June delivery was trading up Rs 17, or 0.25 percent, at Rs 6,687 a barrel in 2,817 lots.

Analysts said increased betting by participants kept crude oil prices higher in futures trading. Globally, West Texas Intermediate crude was down 0.25% at $80.13 a barrel and Brent crude was trading 0.24% higher in New York at $84.05 a barrel.
