Public Works will be conducting smoke tests near Wakefield Street, Hanson Street, Museum Way on 6/20

The Utilities Division for the Department of Public Works will be conducting sewer smoke testing in the Wakefield Street, Hanson Street and Museum Way area on Thursday, June 20 between 9:00am and 10:00am.

You may see a white, non-toxic, non-staining mist from roof vents and ground holes that will dissipate within minutes. This testing helps identify faults and defects in the sewer system.

If you notice fog in your building, call Pubic Works for an inspection, as it may indicate a potential entry point for hazardous sewer gases.
