SDP appeals to ‘politicians’ in Ealing and across the UK – EALING.NEWS – The Voice of Ealing 7 towns

For the first time since the 1980s, the party political election broadcast by the Social Democratic Party (SDP) was televised last night (June 18, 2024).

The theme of his broadcast was around people finding themselves politically homeless.

After the broadcast, Stephen Balogh, SDP candidate for Ealing Central and Acton told EALING.NEWS: “The SDP election broadcast has an all too familiar feeling for so many voters about the policies of the incumbent parties who are not paying attention. the ordinary needs of all British citizens: affordable housing for the next generation, public safety and security, services that work for the people they are supposed to serve’.

He added: “By encouraging these much-needed conversations, the SDP is helping the voices of those millions be heard again.”

SDP leader William Clouston said of the broadcast: “So many fellow citizens feel ignored and patronized by the establishment political class. We wanted to make a film that explored that and had a bit of humor in it.”

He added: “The big message is that there is a party that shares the majority sensible public opinion on things like immigration and housing – it’s the SDP. Basically, that’s why the SDP is here – to give the public something decent to vote for.”
