Regal Food Products acquires a new warehouse

The Yorkshire food manufacturing company specializes in baked goods and confectionery and owns brands including Yorkshire Baking Company and Just Desserts Yorkshire.

The new facility is the former site of the Folding Sliding Doors Company, which is now looking for a new manufacturing site elsewhere in Bradford.

The 45,000 sq ft warehouse building was marketed and sold by real estate consultancy Eddisons, whose associate director Matt Jennings said it was “very pleased to secure a quick sale”of the Hopbine Lane site.

“The industrial free market is increasingly robust due to the continued lack of supply and there is certainly a healthy demand there for considerable storage space.”Jennings added.

“It’s great to see Regal Food Products, another great Bradford company, stepping in to take over this large facility to accommodate the company’s growth and it’s a really positive sign that Bradford’s economy is doing well.”​

Now generating a turnover of £32m, Regal Food Products has made a number of acquisitions in recent years, the most recent of which was Leeds-based cake maker Love Handmade Cakes in January 2024.

The firm currently operates from six locations in Bradford and employs approximately 300 people in the local area.
