Where do you recognize Paul Opacic from?

Paul Opacic returns to Coronation Street this week, playing Stefan Brent – ​​the father of criminal Corey Brent.

Stefan staunchly supported his rotten son, even when he was accused of murder. He even tried to help Corey escape justice.

But his plan didn’t work, Corey was arrested and is now in jail.

Actor Paul Opacic, who plays the doting father, is a familiar face to fans of the soap. So how do you recognize it?

I’m dating Kim Tate

In 1996, Steve Marchant arrived in Emmerdale. He was a one-sided friend of Rachel Hughes and the pair dated for a short time, but when Frank Tate died, newly widowed Kim caught Steve’s eye.

The two got engaged and married and discovered they were made for each other with their love of money and willingness to do whatever it takes to get it!

But when they had financial problems, they went too far! Steve planned to steal a horse from one of Kim’s rivals. But he hit Kathy Bates on the way and she was taken to the hospital. He tried to finish off Kathy in the hospital but failed.

In typical Kim fashion, she managed to turn the tables on her husband. She bilked him of all his money, made sure he went to jail for attempted murder, and left the village with her son, James.

Hollyoaks star

Between 2010 and 2013, Paul also played Carl Costello in Hollyoaks – and reprized the role in 2018.

Carl was a former football player who had an affair with his son Riley’s girlfriend, Mercedes McQueen.

Paul has also had roles in Only Fools and Horses, Doctors, Heartbeat, Bad Girls, Holby City, The Bill and Waterloo Road.

So he’s definitely a familiar face!
