Part of the busy motorway remains ‘restricted’ after a vehicle crash

Part of the M73 has been left “restricted” following a vehicle crash.

Traffic Scotland said there has been an accident at junction 2 (Baillieston Intersection) on the busy southbound carriageway.

The road firm says it happened shortly after 3.30pm today (Wednesday, June 12).

Thanks to this, the traffic is “built” on the approach.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: “At around 3.15pm on Wednesday 12 June 2024 we received a report of a crash involving two vehicles on the M73 near junction 2.

“The Scottish Ambulance Service has been contacted.”
