Smartphone foils capture driver’s escape from West Croydon crash scene

An Apple iPhone alerted emergency services to a car crash in Adelaide’s inner west and allowed police to locate the driver trying to leave the scene.

“If you go into ‘Settings’ and then ‘Emergency SOS,'” Sonya Feldhoff said, “It’s automatically defaulted.”

PD Chaos was called to assist police in the search and was followed from the abandoned vehicle to a nearby home, locating an 18-year-old man and a 23-year-old man behind a fence.
