Firms from Devon and Cornwall offered top marketing advice at Business Club events

Businesses across Devon and Cornwall were given expert advice on how to maximize the return on their marketing spend during an exclusive series of free advertising events.

Company representatives from the two counties attended our business growth sessions with global marketing leaders Evolve Media Sales, who informed delegates about the latest effective ways to engage new customers as that people turn to a range of platforms for news and information.

Participants had the opportunity to join each county’s Business Club, providing access to marketing opportunities at discounted prices for an extended period, which gave businesses the chance to plan their future marketing at a clear pace.

After the Tindle Devon Business Club proved a success in 2023, with positive levels of attendance and feedback from businesses, the offer has been extended to Cornwall this year.

The 2024 business growth events, presented by Evolve’s international marketing consultant Nick Shaw, took place in key locations including Tavistock and Newton Abbott in Devon, as well as Saltash and Mawgan Porth in neighboring Cornwall.

Feedback from companies in both regions has been positive, with the Devon sessions achieving the highest level of participation to date.

Nick Shaw said: “With demand for places at our business growth events in Tindle Devon continuing to increase each year, it was exciting to be able to extend the opportunity this year to the Cornish business community.

“We were delighted with the response from the business owners and managers who attended.

“The reason this event receives such positive feedback is that we don’t just share current digital ideas and trends, we provide companies with a multi-media marketing solution that will help them drive digital engagement and, ultimately, and develop the customer base.

“Such an approach is ‘first’ for local businesses right now, so we look forward to returning in 2025 at new locations in Devon and Cornwall, to be announced in due course.”

Simon Dixon-Phillip, Publishing Director at Tindle Newspapers Westcountry Ltd and Cornwall Ltd, said: “Cornwall’s first Business Club really showcased local businesses and promoted their multi-format platforms and opportunities for customers.

“The various locations across the county provided a fabulous opportunity to meet both existing and new clients. The Club sign-up at the events has been really encouraging and customer feedback has been very positive about both the Club initiative and the ongoing print and digital media campaigns.”
