Person hit by train leaving Leicestershire services ‘severely disturbed’ – updates

Trains across Leicestershire to and from London are “severely disrupted” this afternoon (Thursday June 20) after a person was hit by a train. East Midlands Railway (EMR) said its line in both directions between Kettering and Luton is currently closed.

This is causing delays to trains scheduled to arrive and depart from Leicester and Market Harborough today. EMR said it is currently organizing “ticket acceptance” on alternative routes.
