Two Cornish hotspots come in at number 3 in Britain’s 25 most stunning sights

Cornwall has twice been named in the UK’s top 25 stunning views. According to the Bournemouth Echo, a survey of 2,000 Britons was carried out by Prospectus Global on behalf of the Isuzu D-Max.

The poll showed Brits ranking their preferred views, which was then publicized as a percentage. A stunning second on the list is St Ives with 33 per cent. The Cornish hotspot unfortunately lost out on top spot to Windermere, Lake District, which won 36 per cent.

Mount St Michael was also named and ranked an impressive third among Somerset’s Cheddar Gorge and Loch Lomond and Scotland’s Trossachs National Park with 25%.

Historic St Ives was once known as a fishing village but is now a tourist attraction with popular beaches such as Porthmeor. It is also famous for its arts scene and scenic coastal walks that have ‘inspired’ great writers such as ‘Rosamunde Pilcher and Virginia Woolf’.

The archaic castle and Island was once a trading port, but is now famous for its folklore. From Michael the Archangel to Jack the Giant Slayer, Mount St. Michael is attached to the most fascinating stories.

George Wallis, Head of Marketing at Isuzu UK, said: “Our findings paint a colorful portrait of Britons’ affection for Britain’s beauty spots. From the majestic shores of Lake Windermere to the colossal charm of the Giant’s Causeway’.
