New Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 – Price

The new Royal Enfield Himlayan will be offered in three variants – Base, Pass and Summit. Prices for each variant are: Rs 3.24 lakh (on-road, Mumbai) for the base, Rs 3.30 lakh (on-road, Mumbai) for the Pass and Rs 3.35 lakh (on-road, Mumbai) for the Summit variant . There is also a Hanle Black variant which is priced at Rs 3.41 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). The bike was launched in four color options – Kaza Brown, Slate Himalayan Salt, Slate Poppy Blue, Kamet White and Hanle Black.

Design and features

Himalayan 450

Himalayan 450 is a bike for those who love adventure. The bike has circular headlights with a wider fuel tank. The Himalaya will also be offered with LED headlamps and LED taillights. The Himalayas can also be a great hiker and you can cover distances comfortably. It’s a tall bike with an impressive 230mm of ground clearance to tackle anything that comes your way. The stock seat height of the new Himalayan is 825 mm, which can be increased to 845 mm and can be lowered to 805 mm.

Talking about the features, the new Himalayan gets a new 4-inch TFT display which can be paired with the phone via bluetooth and even displays google maps. The bike also comes with dual-channel ABS as standard, where the rear ABS can be disabled. The new Himalayan 450 also gets ride-by-wire technology, which is a first for Royal Enfield. It also has two driving modes – eco and performance.

Talking about the specifications, the new Royal Enfield Himalayan comes with a 451 cc single cylinder engine. Enfield calls it the ‘Sherpa 450’, which produces 39 bhp and 40 Nm of peak torque. Also, this engine’s 40Nm of torque is the highest for any single-cylinder engine. The engine comes coupled with a 6-speed transmission.
