Two vehicle fires believed to be arson

Two vehicle fires in Devon are being treated as “possible arson”, police said.

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said both vehicles were “well alight” when crews arrived at Chapel Court in Torquay at around 04:00 BST.

The fire service said the cause of the fires was believed to be “deliberate”.

One vehicle was 100 percent damaged and the other was 50 percent damaged, he added.

Devon and Cornwall Police said a car was believed to be on fire and “the fire then spread for a second”.

The force added that both vehicles have since been recovered.

Anyone with information is urged to contact police.
