Coventry City signing Jack Rudoni is providing music to fans’ ears with a statement of intent

Jack Rudoni put music to the ears of Coventry City fans by declaring: “I can’t wait to work with those forwards because I want to get some assists for them.”

Speaking after completing his reported move for around £5million from Huddersfield Town, the attacking midfielder says he is looking forward to developing his career with the Sky Blues and achieving “something special” at the Championship club.




“I’m very happy. As soon as I heard about the interest, I was buzzing,” said the versatile 23-year-old midfielder, who can play in an attacking role and as a No.8.

“I’ve spoken to the manager and his staff and I’ve got a great atmosphere and a sense of drive from everyone here, and that’s what I’m all about. This is a great fit for me and I am so happy to be here. I was aware that there was interest for some time, but this summer it feels like the interest has increased.

“It was clear to me as soon as I started talking to the club that this was the place to be to move forward with my career. I can’t wait to get started.”

Before meeting his teammates for pre-season on July 1, Rudoni expressed his excitement at the prospect of working with Haji Wright and Ellis Simms, who both scored 19 goals last season, saying: “I don’t know no player. here but I have a few mutual friends with one or two of them and I hear they are a great bunch of guys.
