Police appeal for witnesses after 22-year-old shot dead in Brixton – South London News

Police are appealing for witnesses and information after a 22-year-old man was shot dead in Brixton in the early hours of this morning.

Officers were called at around 1.45am to reports of shots fired in Carrara Close, Somerleyton Estate, Brixton.

Crews from the London Ambulance Service attended and found a 22-year-old man with a gunshot wound – he was taken to hospital for treatment, where he remains. His condition is not life-threatening, police said.

No arrests have been made and inquiries to establish the circumstances are ongoing.

Anyone with information or who was in the area at the time of the incident and can assist with the investigation is asked to call police on 101 quoting CAD Ref: 590/21JUN.
