Missing teenager who never turned up for work after being dropped off near Asda spotted 200 miles away

New CCTV footage has been released of a missing teenager from Oldham who is now believed to be in London.

Dillon Duffy went missing from the Chadderton area on Tuesday (June 18). His mother Donna Duffy, who said she was “living every parent’s worst nightmare”, said she dropped him off near the Asda supermarket on Milne Street at around 8am and was supposed to go to work from there, but it never appeared.




The 18-year-old’s phone ‘rang’ at Manchester Piccadilly station that afternoon but has since been switched off. Police now believe Dillon traveled on a train to London Euston, with his last sighting reported at around 4.48pm on Tuesday at the busy station.

A Greater Manchester Police spokesman confirmed that London’s Metropolitan Police are now leading the investigation and have taken over the search. British Transport Police officers also help.

In an update posted on social media yesterday, Dillon’s mum Donna said: ‘I’m worried please if anyone has any contacts in London please share. Now he’s gone and all we know is that he’s booked a train ticket to London Euston.

“He turned his phone off and there is no social media activity. This is a parent’s worst nightmare.

“If anyone has any details or knows of Dillon’s whereabouts, please contact me or the local police. I’m worried and I just want to know he’s safe somewhere.”

Speaking to the Manchester Evening News yesterday, she said: “I dropped him off at Asda in Chadderton and he had to go to work at 8am which was over the road. But he didn’t come to work. That’s the last time I saw him. by him.

“I think the police said his phone was called at Manchester Piccadilly and that’s it… I haven’t seen anything since. His phone has been switched off since then.”

Dillon is described as a white male, who is approximately 5ft 9 in height and of medium build. His “dirty blond hair” is cut “very short.”

The teenager was last seen wearing a dark gray North Face zip-up hooded jacket, which has a white logo on the left front of the chest. He was also wearing slim black sweatpants and black and gray Nike trainers with white soles.

Dillon was also seen wearing a beige baseball cap and carrying a black Puma rucksack in the latest CCTV footage released of him. He is believed to have a novelty Simpsons blanket with him.
