The Eurovision act has been banned from the 2024 final following a police complaint

Dutch artist Joost Klein will not compete in the Eurovision Song Contest final, it has been confirmed. It comes as Swedish police investigate a complaint made by a female member of the production team.

The European Broadcasting Union said the complaint was made following an “incident” during Thursday night’s semi-final in Malmo. The Dutch act also missed two scheduled dress rehearsals on Friday.

The union said that while “the legal process is running its course, it would not be appropriate for it to continue in the contest,” reports the Daily Star. It was said that the 68th Grand Final will now go ahead with 25 participating songs.
