Liverpool’s rooftop bars to enjoy the glorious weather

When the sun comes out, heading to a rooftop bar or beer garden might be at the top of your to-do list.

Here in Liverpool, there is no shortage of nice places to order a cocktail and relax when the weather is warm. From huge rooftop terraces, to traps and bars with stunning panoramic views, there’s plenty to choose from in the city.

Roof – Above the studs

If you’re looking for a proper sun trap, The Roof is for you. Found right at the top of the Pins on Duke Street, The Roof can be accessed from the Gradwell Street entrance. Downstairs and indoors there are several bowling lanes and a full restaurant, while upstairs offers rows upon rows of picnic tables to enjoy a wide range of cocktails and a selective food menu.

Food on the menu includes grilled chicken wings, grilled shrimp, brisket burgers and corn on the cob. For those who want to catch the football, all the big matches are also shown on The Roof.

Saint Sisoia

With one of the best views in town, Goodness Gracious sits above Oh Me Oh My on the Strand. Bar drinkers can enjoy views of the Three Graces from the 8th floor of West Africa House.

The venue doesn’t take reservations, so head there for a day in the sun. There is no weather shelter, so it is only open when the weather permits.

Liberty Sky Garden

Voted one of the 25 best rooftops in Europe, Liberte boasts stunning views of the Liverpool waterfront. Not only does it serve a standard food and drink menu, but it also offers a bottomless brunch.

For £40 per person, people can enjoy mulled wine, prosecco and bottled beer alongside a sharing platter of vegetable spring rolls, chorizo ​​and cheese croquette, teriyaki chicken, katsu goujons, mac and cheese , fish cakes with smoked haddock, halloumi fries, cauliflower rounds, salt and pepper fries and calamari. A £10 upgrade to unlimited cocktails is available.

Matou may be primarily a restaurant, but it’s also famous for its location in the middle of Pier Head. Serving Asian cuisine, the restaurant overlooks Liverpool’s Three Graces, which can be seen in all their glory from the terrace.

On the roof, there is a trapdoor with a panoramic view of the city landscape. There is no shelter, so it is the perfect place on a clear day to relax in the sun. It’s ten stories high, but don’t worry, there’s an elevator.

Pedro’s fool

Not only does Crazy Pedro’s rooftop offer a great place to relax with a drink – but customers can also enjoy bottomless pizza. The second floor terrace may not be the highest, but you still need plenty of sun.

Pizza offerings including the “world famous” hot dog pizza, Mac Daddy, which offers everything you’d expect from a McDonald’s Big Mac, and KFC, which is topped with sriracha fried chicken.

Eden at the Red Door

Not many people know about the rooftop terrace, which is tucked away in the Red Door on Berry Street. Sunrap is a great place for a cocktail during the day, but also a bit of dancing in the evening with live performances and DJs.
