Woman arrested after car crashes into Bradford restaurant

An arrest has been made after a car crashed into a restaurant in Bradford.

The incident happened in the early hours of the morning on Listerhills Road.

A Volkswagen Golf crashed into the Lahore Butt Karahi building.

The driver, a 26-year-old woman, was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving.

Firefighters were called at 0.22am to a report of a dangerous structure.

A crew from Bradford attended and evacuated people from the surrounding building.

The accident caused disruption this morning, with First Bus diverting its 636 and 637 services from Listerhills Road.

A spokesman for the force said: “We were called at 12.08pm to reports of a single vehicle road traffic collision at a building on Listerhills Road.

“The driver, a 26-year-old woman, was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving.

“Requests are ongoing.”

A spokesman for the service said: “We were called at 00.22 this morning to reports of a dangerous structure on Listerhills Road in Bradford.

“It was found to be a car that crashed into a building.

“A crew from Bradford assisted and evacuated people from the surrounding building.

“I left the scene at 02.11.”
