Miniso is to open its largest Nordic store in Manchester

Fresh from opening at Kent’s Bluewater shopping center this month, Chinese lifestyle retailer Miniso is moving to Manchester Trafford Center to open its largest store in the North East of England.

The ground floor location, close to John Lewis, will open on July 5 at lunchtime. The 2,700 sq ft space becomes the 28th Miniso store in the UK and the second in Manchester, “following the success of the Arndale store” opening in 2023.

Key items for the opening are Sanrio eyeball boxes and plushies to affordable homewares and accessories including cushions, water bottles and stationery sets.

For K-pop fans, the Trafford Center location will showcase the latest BT21 products, featuring characters created by the band members.

Its mascot PenPen will be at the opening, where the first 400 customers in store to make a minimum purchase of £5 will receive a free goodie bag worth £25.

It said this expansion follows the successful openings of other shopping center locations such as Trinity Leeds, Metrocentre Gateshead, Victoria Center Nottingham and Derbion in Derby.
