A change made before the Halifax game

Daryl Powell has made just one change to his Trinity side as they prepare to face Halifax Panthers at DIY Kitchens Stadium on Sunday, June 23 (KO: 3pm).

The match marks Wakefield’s first home game since winning the 1895 AB Sundecks Cup Final at Wembley.

Last week’s win over Widnes Vikings took Trinity’s Betfred Championship side to 11 wins from 11 games and opened up a six-point gap at the top of the league table.

Halifax have endured an up and down start to 2024 and sit 12th in the Championship, but a come-from-behind win over Barrow Raiders last week saw them with their best performance of the year.

Powell’s only change to Wakefield’s side sees Jermaine McGillvary welcome back into the squad after being rested last week, with Myles Lawford making way after unfortunately tearing his ACL in a substitute game.

Tickets are available for the game via our online ticket office or from the club’s retail store in Ridings Shopping Centre.
