Carabao Cup first round draw details – News

The Carabao Cup First Round draw will be live on Sky Sports News on Thursday 27 June at 11.30am.

The countdown to the new season will intensify next week with the launch of our 2024/25 Championship fixtures on Wednesday, followed by the Carabao Cup draw the following day.

Sky Sports News presenter Dharmesh Sheth will host the draw which will see 70 clubs from the Sky Bet Championship, Sky Bet League One and Sky Bet League Two enter this round.

Burnley, Luton and the 13 Premier League clubs not participating in European competitions will enter the competition in the second round, with the remaining seven clubs joining the competition in the third round.

The Carabao Cup remains regionalized in the early rounds, with the draw split into a southern and northern section until the third round.

The Owls will be in the northern section of the draw and will be represented by ball number 30.
